It can still be a good value if you play it right. Costco has $100 D&B gift cards for $80 all the time. Buy $100 in chips plus the $10 supercharge gets you 938 chips. Go on half price Wednesdays and the games are between 3-8 chips per play. My kids can easily get 2 hours of entertainment out of ~250 chips each and get a stuffed animal or something each at the end of the day. So thats enough chips for 2 trips for 2 kids and some reasonable prizes for $90 which isn't terrible imo.

No idea how it stays afloat, food is terrible and game prices are absurd…and barely give out tickets.
I go for the light gun games

i miss that, now its only a free cheeseburger for the ticket redemption, clearly devaluation of points is in full effect

In my childhood two decades ago D&B was revolutionary. I legit got a PS2 as my ticket prize. Now it's like $1.50 a game that gives 10 tickets. Arcade games are meh.
Agreed. Back in the day the tickets got you some good prizes and you didn't need 10k tickets for a blow pop.

in all honesty, I can concur with those that see DnB as a rip off. However, from my experience, my kids were able to win more frequently on the claw machine as opposed to those rip off theme parks. Also, the enjoyment the kids get is what I'm paying for. I would only really go on a rare occassion during the 1/2 off for my kids. Still racking up points to get that dam nintendo switch! 20k so far, 100k to go xP

DnB was amazing back in the 90s. It's so sad how they've turned out.

It's a rip off. Yet people continue feeding into the shit. Stock is doing amazing. I stopped going. 3 kids not worth the money for a shitty prize.
I had an EPIC time the first time I went to a Dave and busters- in 2001. I went a few years later and haven't been back since. It's changed way too much and not in a way I'd like. I'd rather go to a proper barcade or take the kids to a $20 all day retrocade somewhat nearby.

Absolutely impossible on half price wed....two kids, 2 hours, 500 chips?

You haven't been in three years is my guess πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

On the contrary, been about 4 times in the last 6 months. Kids are 4 and 6 so they are probably a bit slower at using chips than older kids. Regardless, most games on Wednesdays (at least by me) cost about 4 chips. If you round up to 5 to account for the more expensive ones, that's still 250/5=50 games and if you play a game every 2 minutes or so that's about 2 hours.
