I was going get to keep in the car till I realized no 13
Don't lie we all know the only socket anyone ever needs is 10
"The Husky pass thru stuff used to be made by APEX tools which is the parent company for Gearwrench and the Gearwrench sockets would work with Husky and vise versa etc. I am not sure if that is still the case. The old Craftsman pass thru's were also compatible with Gearwrench as they were also made by APEX."
This set fits a Craftsman set that I have. I like it as it rounds out a second set for me. My old set had both this and the larger rachet - with sockets to match. I got a clearance set with the larger rachet/sockets and now I have the smaller size to go with it. Somehow, it does not "feel" as sturdy as the old Craftsman - maybe its just me or maybe the alloy used is less dense - not sure why. The color/sheen of the metal is not the same as my old Craftsman I like having a second set of the tiny sockets and, given the size, will not be using a lot of force on them anyway.
One drawback is the lack of an enclosed case. They fit in a tray which keeps them organized but if turned the sockets fall out easily. The "holder" for the rachet does not hold it in place securely without reassembling the packing material used to display the rachet/extension's "pass through" capability. For now, I'll be careful not to use the yellow plastic parts - especially as there is no obvious place to store the extension rod.
On the whole, very pleased with the product and price.
Regarding lack of a closing case: My original pass through set was from HFT and it came in a case. The same set now comes in a holder like this one. Seems a sign of the times. I've kept the HFT set even though one socket lost the retaining spring sleeve and ball. It was my "go to" for years. I've purchased some of the universal "star pattern" socket sets (no case) and have not been impressed as several sockets fit a bit loose. I like these six point sets.
3 of the sockets do not have consistent broaching. Ratchet seems to be OK.
Did not expect this from Husky brand.
