That would be a "No". You would get flight credit refunded. Not points. You either buy points, or earn them from travel purchased and flown.

I usually find that southwest sales and promos are not worth the effort of even looking at, because the "sale" only applies to a pathetically small subset of flights that you won't even be able to identify.

Does anyone know what happens to my points if I use them to book a ticket for my son and then he needs to cancel? I know it used to be that only he could use the points going forward, but last summer they changed some of the rules. It's not clear on the SW website.
