I bought a 65C2 refurb from Microcenter last year about this time.

A few weeks into ownership, the main board died.

LG support was next to useless as there are no repair techs in my area, so in the end, LG ended up refunding me the cost of the TV.

I did some research online, watched a couple YouTube videos, and ended up swapping a new main board in by myself. Took about 20 minutes and a screwdriver, but was an easy process.

Still works perfectly now. So in the end, I paid about $100 for a 65C2.

If I had the chance to do it again, knowing how easy these TV's are to do, I'd 100% do it again.
The 90 day warranty kills it for me
The warranty issue is a big deal.

I bought one last week after interrogating the sales guy. He claimed that the refurbs were LG refurbs, not third-party. Yes, 30 days to return, 90 days warranty. He said that the Microcenter non-screen extended warranty wasn't effectively one. He said they wouldn't even try to fix it if it failed in year 3, they'd just hand me a $699 gift card and I could buy something else.

Ultimately, I'm rationalizing it as more of a hedge than a warranty. If I get 4 years out of the TV, great. If not, I'm $699 to whatever full price TV is the current hotness/deal, having had this OLED TV for the equivalent of $140 in rent. Either way, it's hanging in my bedroom, the screen is flawless, and my better half is extremely satisfied with the upgrade from the Toshiba FireTV that needs a full reset every three weeks because I refuse to give it Internet access anymore.
Were you able to see anything before purchase? Local microcenter has 3 but I don't want to buy one and find out it has like 2k hours on it

Mine (48) was sealed in the factory box, no opportunity to check the hours and no log to see what was repaired/replaced. When I got home I was pleased to see everything in perfect condition and screen with 250 hours.

You have 30 days to return to the store, so this deal is best suited for those with a MC nearby.

When I bought my LG C1 55" inch refurb it had zero hours and everything in unopened original packaging. Best is I was able to get a one year warranty from LG when I registered it. They didn't care that it was "refurbished".

I honestly think Micro Center was just trying to clear product and they legit gave me a new TV.
