Crazy times. Inflate price then take half off to make it seem like a deal. Last time I ordered may 8 2023 ( 2 pack $5.72 ) current 2 pack $7.28
I've been buying this variety for several years for shop use. The gel is my preferred, as it stays where you put it and is less likely to glue your fingers to your work or each other during application. The applicator bottle works well. Store it in a small ziplock bag in your refrigerator to extend freshness.
I used to use superglue till I found Loctite. Now I'm sticking to it.

I did not know that. My experience was all one time use as it quickly dries up or the nozzle gets stuck/clogged. I will try the fridge recommendation. 👍
This actually represents a price increase. This was under $3 for years until October 2023 when it increased to $3.64. Make sure you use Keepa to avoid being scammed by Amazon (and SD touting their scammy pricing).
I have always had a difficult time reusing these glues. I use a smallish amount then recap. Then a few weeks later I try again and it's useless. Dryer out cap glued shut... is there a trick to keep these from drying out after first use?
People like myself who go through lots of CA will recommend anything but this. Bob Smith brand on Amazon, medium viscosity, is a good choice for general purposes. You can also use some baking soda to accelerate the bond but spray is worth it.

You probably did not read all the posts in this discussion. I think you are correct that his is not a deal at all and I posted the price that CCC says it has usually been.

I do not understand how traveling around California is relevant.

The applicator with the one is good. I can be really accurate with it. Put just as much glue exactly where I need to. Little to no mess. I've seen other brands with this type of applicator and they may be just as good but this one in particular I know works really well. It keeps at room temp too. I've left these for months, come back to them and they were good to go. Doesn't dry out. Cap is well designed.

Have you used this type of applicator before? I used these when I worked in a hospital to seal small skin cuts, because we washed our hands so often a bandage was impractical. This style of squeeze applicator draws the glue out of the tip when you let go, keeping the tip from clogging. One of these bottles would last me several months without the tip clogging.
Most things ive superglued over the years, even little plastic things, never stay glued very long if they even stick from the first application even.. takes forever to dry too, so you have to stand there holding it for an hour or else tape it together
Super glue tricks: Adding baking soda if you need filler or spritzing water if you need adhesion makes super glue work better.

We buying encourages them to rule in the market. "WE" the people are the culprits.
