The extra stuff they throw in is essentially worthless.

A) if you're buying a 4000 series card, you likely have a better CPU cooler anyways.
B) 256GB is nothing anymore. And a waste of physical space in your case.
This could be pretty confusing so just let me know if anybody can't get it to work. I can try and help you through it. Tried to write it as best I could. Also I would recommend getting another SSD/HDD instead of the intel stock cooler since the intel cooler is probably unusable for your setup. It's only $1-2 more and you can use it as a backup or boot drive. I tried to share my prebuilt part lists, but I could only do one and it kept changing as I added/removed different items Frown
eh. 256GB SSD isnt worthless. makes for good portable drive or scratch disk

Lol maybe when the 5000 super or 6000 series comes out haha

Most likely when the 6000 series is out and 4080 super will be sub 500 on ebay used. I refuse to get a card that have less than 16GB of RAM. NVIDIA really screwed us on VRAM the past few generations.

I am going to play around more and compare against BB and other stores.

Just one note, I think that MSI Super Ti GPU is still available. I reopened Newegg page and the cart still has that item and still shows as available for purchase for a total
$772.62 + tax.

One important factor: Newegg is all fine and good, but their return policy is really unfriendly due to restocking fees.
$59.50 difference between would make me choose the PNY over MSI tho idk. MSI available, but they marked up the price. It's too much atm. I've never had any problems with Newegg, but then again I never had to return anything before so ig I wouldn't know. As long as it's sold and shipped by Newegg?

Didn't work, tried to add 4070 super asus with 2 of the team group ssds. Emptied cart multiple times and readded via the instructions.
I think it has to be items from 3 different categories. So 2 drives and a GPU wont' work since thats only 2 categories.

I tried a 4070 super and 2 different SSDs and it did not work. But I then replaced an one SSD for a CPU fan and that works.

You're right!! Thank you I've updated the instructions in OP to reflect that. +rep and also it looks like HDD and SSD count as different categories in this case.

Yikes, 256 gb is worthless? There can be tons of reasons to have a separate physical hard drive partition within your case. You can also have it as an external drive if you get an enclosure, which is what I would do if I had an extra drive.

I'd sure like a 4070 super to upgrade from my 6600xt, but these prices need to be about $200 lower, they're still ridiculous.

I WAS in that camp. Had a 6700xt. However, I grabbed the 4070 Super for $590. Flipped my 6700xt for $300. Still an expensive upgrade but it made a huge difference on some demanding games (like Alan Wake, RDR2, etc). If you are gaming in 1440p you can crank anything up and it works great. 6700xt was solid but struggled with newer titles/demanding titles at 1440.

Also, if the market is similar at this point next year for the 5000 series, the 4070 Super should hold its value pretty well, making my next upgrade to the 5000 series less expensive than if I was trying to move the 6700xt.

Obligatory keep waiting post. 5090 is dropping this year. 4000 series was a terrible value to consumer and while the 5000 series will also be a terrible value it will drive down the price of the 4000 series.

Yep. 4000 series will see MANY more sales like this and better. Shocking just 2 months ago the super came out and tried so hard to create demand that withered away within 2 weeks. Plus, more restriction selling to China and China starting to ban American chips, we got ourselves a buyers market.

But if you NEED. Otherwise, wait.

It takes a special type of special to get outraged at getting things for what essentially amounts to free.

There's plenty of uses for a 256GB drive these days.

Not everything is about media consumption or gaming.

256GB gets you at least 40 appropriately sized Proxmox containers, for example.

Nah he's right 256 GB SSD is worthless. It really isn't worth the physical space in your PC case and using it as an external is laughable, I have micro SD cards with more space.

This really isn't a great deal. Like someone else said it's like you're getting saddled with trash you will have to store or dispose of.
