Most likely when the 6000 series is out and 4080 super will be sub 500 on ebay used. I refuse to get a card that have less than 16GB of RAM. NVIDIA really screwed us on VRAM the past few generations.
Just one note, I think that MSI Super Ti GPU is still available. I reopened Newegg page and the cart still has that item and still shows as available for purchase for a total
$772.62 + tax.
One important factor: Newegg is all fine and good, but their return policy is really unfriendly due to restocking fees.
I tried a 4070 super and 2 different SSDs and it did not work. But I then replaced an one SSD for a CPU fan and that works.

Yikes, 256 gb is worthless? There can be tons of reasons to have a separate physical hard drive partition within your case. You can also have it as an external drive if you get an enclosure, which is what I would do if I had an extra drive.

Also, if the market is similar at this point next year for the 5000 series, the 4070 Super should hold its value pretty well, making my next upgrade to the 5000 series less expensive than if I was trying to move the 6700xt.
Yep. 4000 series will see MANY more sales like this and better. Shocking just 2 months ago the super came out and tried so hard to create demand that withered away within 2 weeks. Plus, more restriction selling to China and China starting to ban American chips, we got ourselves a buyers market.
But if you NEED. Otherwise, wait.

It takes a special type of special to get outraged at getting things for what essentially amounts to free.
There's plenty of uses for a 256GB drive these days.
Not everything is about media consumption or gaming.
256GB gets you at least 40 appropriately sized Proxmox containers, for example.
This really isn't a great deal. Like someone else said it's like you're getting saddled with trash you will have to store or dispose of.
Better than nothing collection.
