So to give you an example. I wanted 1 of these but it wouldnt be feasible for me. I have a 1032W ac i want to power. This unit will run my ac for 1 hr.
If you add the extra battery itll be 2hrs total.
If i had a 500W panel (which i believe is the max input) and receive the full 500W while running ac ill get maybe an extra hour max before it shits down drained battery.
Yours at 1500W will run maybe 40-45 min. And maybe 1hr30 with extra battery

It's actually much less because you aren't going to be getting the full 1kwh rated capacity. You are looking more at 800wh. With two batteries, you're looking at roughly 1.6kwh which will run his AC non-stop for essentially 1 hour if it's rated at 1500watts.

Ouch even worse. Forgot to add that into calculations. Thanks.
Yeah i wanted to do that for my ac but not worth it. So im starting my own diy. Still working on it but hoping by end of this month or early nxt month ill be set up to run my ac during the sun hours. Ill be ok once night hits.

The short answer is that the EcoFlow cannot be used as a UPS for a computer. The EcoFlow takes about 30ms to switch to battery power when the power goes out. This interruption will cause the computer to reboot. A true UPS switches in about 2ms.

However, the EcoFlow can be used to extend the runtime of a true UPS and it can be used for less sensitive loads, such as refrigerators or sump pumps. So the EcoFlow is an emergency backup power supply, but not an uninterrupted power supply.

Has anyone used these as a power source for a trailer? We boondock mostly and I was wondering if I can hook my 200w solar panel to these and then leave the trailer plugged into these at all times. In theory would it drain these before it would run off my trailer batteries essentially expanding the capacity of my trailer batteries while also having 110v power at every plug in the trailer all the time?

I'm not talking running my trailer ac off these. We don't run the ac but sometimes the heater running at night will drain my batteries down.

Wondering if I can get away with using a delta 2 and the extra battery instead of carrying a generator.

Diy cost benefits are not worth the hassle or time for smaller capacity.
I've come to the same conclusion after my research. At smaller capacities, DIY isnt worth your time. At larger capacities, it definitelyis.

Depends on how sensitive your computer is, but officially its not quite up to UPS spec.

The switchover isn't fast enough. You could use it to give your UPS extended operating time, but this alone will not keep your equipment from initially losing power.

For short term but you'll lose power due to inefficiency.

Will I though? Bc if I plug UPS into this, UPS would just think it's a regular outlet.

Recently these have been hitting more and more interesting prices for me. I'm trying to decide on going the full DIY route or with one of these systems. If anyone here has comments for that, I'm all ears!
I'm in SF area, going DIY 15kwh battery solar system to offset my grid usage which is usually 10-15kwh per day - battery and panels prices dropping like rock, I won't be surprised in few more years everyone completely cut off the grid
