I thought the issue must be with my lock as it doesnt make sense that they wouldnt catch it during their testing, but Eufy even sent me a replacement lock under warranty and the replacement had the same issue. Apparently they don't poll the screen often in order to conserve battery, so it registers the touch whenever it next polls.
Other than that, the lock is super quiet, which I like. When it is ready for a fingerprint it's very fast to read it. If you try and open the door too quickly before it's done unlocking, the pressure of the deadbolt on the wood of the doorjam will be enough to stop it from unlocking because the motor is not strong enough.
I'm guessing the first lock I had was an original (revision 0 if you will). That one came with a battery that took a micro USB charger. The one Eufy sent as a replacement was a revision 1, according to the box. That one has a battery that takes a usb-c charger. Both those locks need woken up before they will let you unlock them. The ones that Amazon is sending out now are revision 3, so it seems like they have fixed some hardware issues.

Fingerprint and More Ways to Unlock】The Smart Lock U100 offers multiple ways to unlock, including a high-precision fingerprint reader for up to 50 fingerprints, remotely configurable passwords via the Aqara Home app (An Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub is required), one-time local passwords for visitors, and a mechanical key for emergency use. * The NFC card is not included and is sold separately.

【Auto Lock & Do Not Disturb Mode】Thanks to the built-in gyroscope inside the lock, the auto-lock feature locks the door for you after you close it. Alternatively, you can disable this feature and leave the door always open. Also, the Do Not Disturb mode can mute the door lock sounds within a certain period of time, to avoid affecting your family's sleep when you get back home late.
【A Durable and Secure Biometric door Lock with Long Battery Life】 The U100 is powered by 4 AA 1.5V batteries (included) and has a long battery life of up to 8 months. I've had this lock for a little over three years. It has problems! First, as shown in the picture, the glass is delaminating. This started at about the 1 year mark. It doesn't affect the the functionality of if, but it looks like crap.
Many bugs to report....
1. About 15% of the time, when leaving the house, I'll unlock the door, step outside and close it, place my finger on the sensor, and the door tries to unlock itself (it's already unlocked). I then have to retouch the sensor to lock it.
2. It hates one of my sons. It recognizes his fingerprint, but loudly states "The door failed to lock, please try again." This is when the door is locked and he's trying to get in. This randomly happens with others, but it's about 50% of the time with him vs. 5% with others.
3. I have an Alexa routine that includes locking the door when I say goodnight. About 20% of the time, if the door is already locked it gives the "Door failed to lock message" and sends a notification to everyone that has the app installed. If I'm not already sure the door was locked, I have to go and check that it is.
4. Alexa will lock the door, but after about 30 secs she says "Sorry, front door isn't responding".
5. Mine is the same model number, but this says it's a newer version. My older version also has a 10,000 mAh battery, but the charge only lasts about 3 months
The fingerprint sensor works very well. I've had little issue with it unless my finger is wet. The app works great and has a lot of functionality to it.
