The keys are no longer proprietary with their latest refresh, it comes with 2 standard keys now that you can make copies of. I ordered from Amazon yesterday and just installed it this evening.
Ehh I like the products but they don't support WPA3 and the tried gaslighting everyone here the exploits found. I wouldn't trust them for a lock.
The one linked in the OP has Wifi built-in and doesn't require the additional separate bridge

S230; I ended up returning mine from amazon for $130 and picked it up from Micro center near me here in Duluth, GA for $69 + tax = $74 total out the door ...

$56 dollar saving so can't complain for the S230 Keyless fingerprint lock
I also got one from MC but for $59. It was on sale from $69 to $59.

I've had the D20 (the less featured version of this lock) installed for the past two years without any major problems - it's great to give kids and houseguests their own passcode instead of having them memorize my code. The one minor issue was that I use the key infrequently and it got stuck in the keyway once. I've since been adding a puff of graphite powder a couple times a year to keep it operating smoothly.

Can you unlock this by holding up your phone? If so, is it Android only or does it work with iPhone also?

No. This is unlocked with fingerprint, keypad, or remotely using the app. What you are referring to is NFC.

Be careful as the discounted ones at Micro Center are with the 5 proprietary keys vs the new generation of this lock with 2 regular keys.

I mean I'll bite on the security conversation. A house with more cameras and tech features externally is going to be an outlier in any community where similar isn't predominantly prevalent. But at the same time it's way to bring neighbors and everyone else on board.

If getting a smart door lock with a camera is a deterrent for you when new apartments have had smart locks w/o cameras for almost a decade then you need to reconsider your own security situation for what would improve it.

A determined thief is a determined thief no matter what the situation. But the appearance of a security system may deter just one thief and that's worth the investment in my opinion

Can be easily defeated within seconds according to the Lockpicking Lawyer on YouTube. FYI, all smart locks have this problem, some more serious than others like this Eufy.
