The keys are no longer proprietary with their latest refresh, it comes with 2 standard keys now that you can make copies of. I ordered from Amazon yesterday and just installed it this evening.
Ehh I like the products but they don't support WPA3 and the tried gaslighting everyone here the exploits found. I wouldn't trust them for a lock.
The one linked in the OP has Wifi built-in and doesn't require the additional separate bridge

I have the version with the proprietary 5 key version.. I had the August lock.. I love that I don't need to have a second unit to make the WiFi work.. it integrates well..

no lock is fool proof.. hence why i have cameras.. the biggest reason for this smart lock for myself is my kids don't need keys, my mother in law can use her fingerprint, i cam let the cleaners in, and i can let my friends in to make sure
the mail is brought in and the cat is ok when we go on vacation (don't trust the in-laws to feed the cat)

Also the older version battery uses micro USB.. but you can buy a new battery for $60 which is a usb C..

It's $130 with free shipping on eufy website with code WSPEV2IKTN6Y to take 130 off the regular $260.

The version from micro center is the old version (proprietary keys). Is it work spending the extra for the new version ($70 vs $130)?

In my opinion, yes, depending on what version they have. I had two iterations of the version with the proprietary keys, and both iteration 0 and iteration 1 have to be woken up before they would work. Not sure about iteration 2, but iteration 3 that Amazon is shipping out has fixed this issue.
