Silicon Grease is good at lubricating plastics and making things non stick and slippery. You can try spraying your snow shovels and your snow blower chute to help prevent snow and ice from sticking for example.
WD40 is a poor lubricant as it become sticky/gummy over time. I use it to clean my metal tools though as It's basically kerosene and mineral oil. Since kerosene is a solvent WD40 will make a decent metal cleaner and once it evaporates the mineral oil is left behind to help prevent and protect against rust.

Pure silicon grease is safe and ideal for plastic on plastic lubrication but this product contains acetone that will melt/dissolve plastic overtime.
I'm not sure what this product would be ideally used for because of the acetone it contains making it harmful to plastics; strange choice in adding it IMO. For metal on metal lubrication white lithium grease would be much better than this.
Overall I would recommend Fluid Film [fluid-film.com] for lubrication and rust prevention as it's non corrosive and works great on everything. You can even use it to polish and restore vinyl (As in vinyl trim on cars, toys etc; NOT MUSIC RECORDS) as it's lanolin based and non toxic.
