I love how they put VEGGIE on there to imply its healthy... lol! As if regular potato chips aren't made of veggies. And oh wow its sea salt, as if its still not too much sodium heheh!
They really are aiming for the lowest common denominator here that will convince themselves this isn't junk food.
it does have some veggies, look at the ingredients
I will never understand why these discussions aren't about the deal, and everyone needs to moralize about what foods we should be eating.
Like, nobody is under the assumption that any of this prepackaged shit is healthy. Doesn't mean we can't enjoy it sometimes.
I know what you mean and somewhat agree. On the other hand, I've learned a lot of things on SD when people mention other options or facts about the items on sale I. It's not all a bad trend.
The issue here I think is that the word vegetable makes it seem like a healthy food. Some people might actually believe it. Then you read through this thread and learn that these things are just as good or bad as regular chips. Maybe it helped someone realize that this is not a healthy food. For those of us who know, we can just ignore the people who try to high and mighty.

It's because idiots actually think it's healthy. This country also revolves around money so they're holding back companies and policies from adopting healthier ingredients.
I use to eat these all the time. they have decent taste but they are still junk food. It's mostly potato mash like pringles with powered veggies. The ingredients are listed in order of the content amount where the veggies are right at the bottom of the list right after oil, salt and sugar. The question is if powered dehydrated veggies even retain their nutrients as their raw counter parts. I'd rather eat raw Veggies with some hummus, hot sauce, salsa, etc.
