7th Generation is good if you don't like fragrance. Regardless of what is healthier or better etc, I just don't like excess scents in things. Seventh Generation is one of the only brands that is easy to buy that has scent free all purpose spray and dish detergent and dishwasher detergent.

Additional 15% S&S discount seems to be only for First time product purchasers only. But its a good deal none the less for one time purchase too.

Why is this brand so popular? What makes it better than other general brands, like dawn for example.

Curious what leads you to believe it's popular?

No correlation between SD's and popularity as far as I know. There are items from brands never heard of here.

I'd really like one 50oz for 1/3rd the price. I don't need to store a 3 year supply.

If you have Sams club membership and are brand agnostic, you can get decent members mark hand soap - 160 OZ for about $9.

I'm torn because I got in on 6x20oz with 15%ss is $14.3x vs this 3x50oz is $16.5x . Not a lot of incentive for the convenience. I hate to waste Plastic but it's also negligible difference.

What I meant was, I have several friends recommend this brand within the last few months, also keep seeing it popup on my social feeds. Really don't want to dig down the rabbit hole to research if the "plant-based", "biodegradable" really worth it or it's just marketing advertised.

Edit to attach this article I found: https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutte...dish-soap/

It's good dish soap, but we only buy it when it's on super-sale (it sometimes comes in a box of 6 or 12 which lasts a year). It's probably as good as Dawn, etc. I wouldn't say it's better at cleaning. It comes down to price. Also, the Clementine scented one smells good. Wink
