I'm sharpening my gardening skills, but I always was taught that nitrogen was important if you want growth and phosphorus is important if you are focusing on fruiting your plant. The npk of this is high in potassium. Not sure why you'd want that much potassium. Maybe specific plant varieties would want that extra potassium?

Potassium is for fruiting. Phosphorus is always needed, and even more so in flowing depending on the plant.

You have that backwards: https://extension.oregonstate.edu...izer-guide

That's not to say that Potassium is not important for fruiting, but I'm sure certain varieties use potassium more for fruiting. Tomatoes are high in potassium, so I'm sure Tomatoes could use the extra potassium.

I'm at Lowe's and they have a lot. Everyone of them is rock solid and no longer in powder form. Really disappointing they'd even have it on the shelves.
