Looks like the regular price these days. The 4K trilogy doesn't include the special features disc included here. Notable on that disc is about and hour and a half of the IMAX footage presented in the original IMAX 1.43 aspect ratio from the last two movies.

Must have bought this set 10 years ago for $20. Worth it then and still is.

I was looking to buy last month, and it was almost 30-40$ for a BLU ray set

No movie has matched the experience I had watching The Dark Knight in theaters. I'm not saying it's the greatest movie of all time. I'm saying it was the best cinematic experience I had. I did not expect what I ended up seeing on the screen back in 2008.

Since CN doesn't care for object based soundtracks, there is no upgrade to the other half of movies either.

These BRs upscaled are pretty good & the 4ks aren't really reference quality either.

I feel the same way about Lord of the Rings. Both trilogies hold up really well.

FWIW the reviewer at Tom's Guide felt the 4k transfer wasn't any better than the upscaled BR. https://www.tomsguide.com/opinion...-expecting

I'm pretty sure there were some points when it was lower, but it's not common you will see it go this low. At $6 per disk I think this is the way to go.

Completely agree!

We saw it in theaters last week and it was a totally different experience.
Watched interstellar in theaters a couple days ago and the gap was negligible.
