I owned this stove. While I had it, it was good. It heated quickly and well. The oven worked without any issues and was accurate. However, I have a horror story in regards to this oven and GE:

At 6 months into owning this stove the top glass broke. I've kept the top clean and even pristine. It came with a small bottle of Weimem glass top stove cleaner, which I used and bought another bottle when it ran out.

It broke after I heated up some water to make noodles. No splash or splatter from the water or noodles touched the glass. There wasn't a mess to clean up, so I sat down to eat. Half way through I heard the glass crack. It was loud and cracked from the back to the front, completely.

I called GE to inquire about the warranty. They asked the usual questions, including if I left melted sugar to dry on it. I mentioned I cleaned it with the stove top cleaner *they included with the stove* and GE's representative informed me that it isn't a recommended cleaner and it voided my warranty. They would not replace the stove top.

A replacement for the stove top was $850. I paid $650 for the stove. It only lasted 6 months and couldn't be used with the full thickness crack from front to back. I would avoid GE glass top stoves.
Good price. But notice, this is a non-convection oven. Also, the bottom element is exposed (not hidden like on other models), so any spillovers will end up on it and burn.

Just called and adjusted the price for my order. They could not adjust the price for the extended warranty.

I would advise against this idea. It is cheaper to buy a new oven than to retain a lawyer and pay the legal fees which would cost more than a new oven. You're looking at $300 hr and 1 hr to just to draft a letter to GE. This is a budget/value range oven not a high-end oven so it's not even worth the hassle if time is important to you
you lose nothing if you won the case. no lawyer fee

You obviously never been to court or even small claims court. It's always a cost even if it's not money, it's called your time and mental stress.

If you really want to go through the courts, just take it to small claims court. No lawyer needed. If GE doesn't send a representative, you win. If you explain that you used the included cleaner, and they told you it voided the warranty, you'll probably win.

While I had looked at glass top ovens before, I think I will be staying away from them. I've had heating elements go bad before, but they are cheap and easy to replace.
More bad legal advice from a lack of legal experience. It's easy to say what you said on forums, but you don't know how much effort it takes to go to small claims court for damages under $10k (depending on your state). I can ask you a simple question that you probably can't even figure out, who are you going to sue? GE is not the correct answer by the way. You have to serve the correct entity with the correct address. Good luck finding the information. This is part of reason why attorneys are paid so high so you don't have to figure it out. By the time you figure it all out, fill out the forms, and go to small claims court, all the wasted time and mental stress that you forgot to factor in, you could have bought a new electric range at $400 and never buy GE ranges again.

Has anyone received the Range? My first order was cancelled. I was able to order with new and cheaper price. Just curious the deal will be delivered?

I've been to court several times as a HOA board member. Also, my significant other is a licensed practicing attorney. For a $500 item, it's almost better to count it as a loss and move on.
