While I agree induction is nice, my range is induction. But at this price you're not getting that anytime soon.
Maybe it's all the gas that you've inhaled...., but a very obvious logic here is that not everyone lives in a place that has access to gas.

Oh man, seriously?! Going to see if they will price match my last order or if I need to cancel.

Edit: For anyone considering shipping, it appears they've altered the shipping cost from $29 to $79, so you'd be saving $50 less. I'm going to call tomorrow during customer service hours and see if they'll just price adjust for me.

How's the clean up on your induction, does splattered food or spilled food get baked on the way all other glass tops do?

No installation. This is new construction so the electrician will install as part of his work.

Sold out for me but this is a very basic oven, no convection.
Yep. Last non-stainless kitchen appliance I 'need' to update is my white glass top range w/ convection, so I've been on the lookout for a new stainless one to replace it. Seems like stainless convection ovens pretty much never dip below $500, and rarely below $700, even.

So far no, it's super easy to clean. I hated having to use special cleaners and sometimes even a razor blade on my old electric cooktop. But honestly my favorite part about induction is the speed/control, it really is pretty cool. The con being you generally have to get more expensive pans.

That's good to hear. I have a portable induction burner I use for boiling and time based cooking like rice, or pasta... something I can set a timer and it turns off on its own. If it's greasy I place a paper towel on the burner and under the pan and it catches all the grease. I have yet to have it burn. I did put a cork mat under and that did burn, weird, but lesson learned.

I just wasn't sure if the more powerful induction stoves baked on the foods.

I want to get an induction stove but have yet to find a good deal on one. Right now we have exposed coil stove.
