NMDs are not built for tennis. They are designed to be running shoes but I doubt it will last long even for that. It is more of a lifestyle sneaker not meant for any sporting activities. It lacks cushioning and stability.

They are literally not even running shoes, more like casual walking shoes and fashion shoes

Thanks OP. Needed a new pair of shoes for tennis matches, currently ran through a cheaper pair of Adidas and heard good things about NMD. I hope they run true to size, as 12 was in stock and no 12.5 as a safeguard for my fat ass feet.

Had this and used it for badminton, it's a junk compared to even Asics Gel Rocket

Ive only bought one other nmd, looks really good but comfort is trash for running. I use it for casual shoe only, this one fits the bill at this price

If you want to stick to Adidas, look at barricade or ubersonic. They go on sale a few times a year. If you don't mind some funky colors, you can get them for around $40 or $50

They also have some less expensive styles like Court Flash and Game Court.

The new NMD R1s are really stiff on the heel. They give me blisters unlike the old versions.

Can anyone confirm the fitting for a wide feet? The only knitted shoes I have are the original Yeezy 350 (size 11, my reg size is 9.5-10)

I pretty much always play in this style of shoe and just plan on running through them about 1-2x per year. I made it through a full College tennis season and Nationals run on a 28$ pair of Adidas. I have a pair of Prince and Babolat tennis shoes but I've never moved as well on the court with them, they just feel clunky. A light pair of shoes that is half the price works well for hard court play. I do bust out the Babolat shoes for playing on clay though.

Running shoes are very much not made for a lot of lateral movement (tennis) so not only are they not very durable as they are more of a lifestyle shoe anyway they will probably increase your risk of turning an ankle or such

Do not get these for tennis. They're fashion/comfort shoes. They're too heavy and clunky for the rapid stop and go of tennis.

Fine for pickleball, though.
