I switched to this over the Lowe's stuff last year. Night and day difference in appearance and quality. I know that might sound silly, but just my experience. The Lowe's stuff has big chunks etc in it...this stuff is nice and consistent in quality. Just my 2 cents

Lowes is a much better deal. 2.0 cubic ft. Vs 1.5 cubic ft is 25% less for the same product. Shrinkflation????

Regional contractors grind up and bag this for these stores so the product probably varies by region you live in

The local Lowe's has a much more polished mulch pickup/loading process than Home Depot does. You place your order at the checkout, take your receipt to the loading aisle in the parking lot and the team loads you up, signs your receipt and away you go.
