Just fyi, as far as I have seen there aren't significant health issues from using "non-stick" pans, it was more so in the factory making the pans then the finished product.
This isn't entirely true. If the nonstick coating is intact, there's minimal (but not zero) transference of PFAs from the cooking surface to the food, and that's what everyone quotes as evidence of their general safety.

But if you actually look at the nonstick pans people use, all of them have scratches and other things compromising their surface integrity--and that leads to pretty substantial contamination. The guidance from manufacturers is that you should be replacing nonstick cookware every 3-5 years because of this, but very few households actually do. They also advise that you not cook on high heat, use separators, etc--all designed to prolong the surface integrity because the consequences of scratching a nonstick pan are much more serious than a stainless steel one.

A couple carbon steel/cast iron pans and a couple stainless pans are the perfect combination, IMO. CS/CI when you need nonstick (eggs etc), and stainless for acidic/reactive (tomatoes) or foods that require or release a lot of moisture (excessive moisture can weaken seasoning IME). I have a Calphalon tri-ply stainless pan for 20 years, been through the dishwasher countless times, has some visible wear but performs as good as the day I bought it.
Man wish I knew what you knew. I've seasoned my cast iron many many time but never got it to be non-stick. our all clad always stick, high, low, oil, no oil, no matter what we try everything stick and you end up scrubbing like a *@#*@&#

I am a registered chemical engineer dealing with PFAS. I don't use any of the non stick ones.

for you cooks out there. what do you do to clean it easily after cooking? it's a pain to wash after making some eggs when i get done. also is ceramic better than stainless tri-ply clad overall ?

i'm not much of a cook. I guess people put their skillets in ovens for baking certain items?
I just Use more oil if I'm using these vs non stick. Olive oil isn't bad for you.

That's a good deal. Just paid for $40 for the 10" at Walmart to replace the one my wife burned up. Yes, burned up. I don't like her cooking.
If she sacrifices couple of pans, NEVER ever need to cook 😄.

Add water, bring to a boil and lightly push everything loose with a spatula or wooden spoon, then wash with warm soapy water after. Though, you're likely not letting the pan get hot enough if you have trouble with too much sticking.

These should not have any non-stick coating at all. They are simply stainless steel, which should mean there are no potential health issues with the pans. I can't vouch for their quality, I've bought a couple of all-clad pans from the Home And Cook Sales site which are excellent, but you'll be paying $70+ for a 12" fry pan alone, and that's WITH a steep discount from that retailer.
Cooking enthusiasts would argue that these have a health risk since they are made in China. I don't know how valid this concern is but I do know that China has very impure metals. It is a matter of whether these impurities would leach out while cooking.

We have had to recently relocate our parrot to the dining room next to the kitchen and non-stick is a no-go for them - they have very sensitive respiratory systems. Instead of non-stick I went with ceramic for my frying pan and man do eggs slide right off of that stuff.
Parrot eggs?

non-sticks from name brands are fine. Issue is folks cranking up the heat beyond the max temp put on the labels. That destroys the coating. Also using metal silverware on the pan. i strictly use silicone or woodden.

I personally still use my non-stick pans for eggs and fish, etc.
There are lots of types of non stick. Some are bad, some are OK. Older non-stick pans with the black teflon coating are definitely loaded with forever chemicals. Your comment is vague and misleading.
