No time machine, but this was just on sale NEW for $90 more at B&H so it is likely to go on sale for around that price again. Asurion plan is $70 for 3 years. Just FYI for anyone considering this.

No, but as a courtesy, we don't want to click on the post and then realize it is a refurbished item, not a brand new if the price is too good for a brand new item.

For $350 difference I'd recommend buying new from Costco and get the free extended warranty.
My New Costco LG OLED C1 TV panel had issues and luckily the Manufacturer covered my issues but they put you through a rigorous set of question and answers to try to get out of it. I'm glad I had the backing of COSTCO. The repairman told me TVs are not made like they use to be and to definitely get a warranty on all new TVs. He said Samsung Qled are some of the worst he has seen - they get so hot that the screen melts!!. I said, so get a Sony, he said no they don't make them like they use to either.

It might be worthwhile for some but you are talking about paying 55% more for the added benefit of new and warranty. That's a big disparity.

How is the text on desktop?
text is not bad and for movies and web surfing it's amazing. however, it hates static images, so when I do my notes it starts to dim, that is until i move the screen around and refresh the pixels. it's anti-burn-in software is aggressive.

WIsh I got this than the 55" inch Hisense U7K for $480. Smaller size but a much better quality panel. Valid point though on the refurb, if you got one where someone leaves the TV on all day then that can dramatically lower the life of the TV or might have some burn-in.
The HiSense miniLED look amazing. I'd get one but worried about the durability of them. Read enough bad stories from owners that it's a shame, because I honestly think the picture quality on those is the best of anything in Best Buy. They're so bright. Definitely a hard choice between a Samsung S90C and HiSense U8K for me. Very underrated from an image quality standpoint.

Ive had great luck with my Hisense 55 and 75 u8k. I also have an LG C3 65 and Id say the hisense is on par with the LG for much cheaper

$500 is the appropriate price point for these (New). They've been discounted to that level a couple of times already.

Thanks! I thought the 55" refurb at $946 wasn't a good deal either because Microcenter had the 65" refurb for $999.99 (that deal just expired).

Oh, the last time I saw them priced at $500 was at Best Buy, but I think those were only available in-store and they flew off the shelves pretty quickly. That wasn't the only time though. Anyway, $500 seems fair for a display this size and with the same features. Just wanted to point that out. Of course, people can spend as much as they like.
hmmm I don't recall that either. The only time I saw $500 price point was for the C2 at costco when they were clearing stock for the C3's.

I'm using 42" TV as an monitor and text looks absolutely clean. You can always install different font if it looks a bit weird. Personally, I'm using this and looks perfect https://www.mactype.net (windows compatible)

If possible I connect to a computer that supports 120hz hdmi 2.1

Amazing price but the panels are basically used and must all have some amount of hourly usage on them, prob just a gamble on how many hours you get or if your unfortunate to get one with burn-in
Even w/ new ones could have these issues. As long as return is easy then why not save few bucks for used ones.

100% agree, I'm on a mac with 42" C3 and am a coder. Make sure you are getting full 10bit out of your cable because otherwise there will be oddities in the text, I didnt realize this was happening to me the first few days I had it.
