If this can be unlocked easily like the 2022 model, this is a great deal. Otherwise, 12 month unlock criteria is cancerous nowadays.

This is the same # I got when I bought the iphone xr last year, kept logging in and it paid for itself.
Also, any idea if credit card's return protection benefit would apply to those phones? Thinking about that as back up plan.

Boost doesn't let you downgrade your plan for a while. When I got my A32 they wouldn't let me go to their $25 plan for at least 6 months, even when I talked to support. Might be different now but I doubt it.
You might be able to activate it and then swap in a sim on a super cheap Boost plan, like the 6 or 12 month deals, but idk if you're gonna have to fight with support to unlock it.
