Which is pretty sad, IMO. I know that they'd look goofy either way. But walking with a weighted vest is a very underappreciated exercise. It's a lot less "ballistic" then jogging. For those who aren't in great shape, it's a great alternative to walk/jog intervals. For those that are, it is a fantastic option for off days.

In the past I've worn a vest while mowing the lawn. Once again, goofy, I know. But when life is busy and you are in a rut, accomplishing 2 things at once can be a great motivator.
They recently I believe have a new manufacturer as I have three 20lbs vests and the most recent two have a very uncomfortable stiff seam located where your traps or neck that rips into your skin and tears after the first wear I have two being returned already.

edit - the first one was nicely stitched and soft, however the two recent ones seem to have that particular spot melted together instead of sewn in nicely
I've worn one since the begining of the year 300k plus steps a month and doing pulls ups. Im getting pretty damn sexy. Never been this fit before. played football in high school. at 37 feel like my younger self. The 20lbs vest they currently have been shelling out have been terrible due to that one hard plastic/melted seam. First one I bought in January was nicely stitched in and soft.

Yeah I have another adjustable that goes up to 60... Even with 40 it tears and digs into your neck and shoulders. Even tried to throw small terry towels under to cushion and still doesn't help

You have to manually add all the sandbags in. It's a massive PITA. I'd pay more money to have it done for me already. Took almost an hour

Idk i recently got one on amazon for $20 like a month ago and i love it. I put in all 20 bags and never take them out to adjust weight. I use em for weight training and it seems like it'll hold up quite well, no issues, pretty comfortable to me for a $20 weighted vest.

Because of how tight the pockets are and the weight bags have no structure. There's a YouTube video showing how to wrap them with duct tape with some taper (sic) for easier insertion. Yeah you shouldn't have to do that.

I'm already not a tall dude but every time I wear this, I feel like it's making me shrink/shorten my height even more.

I get the same extra 20 pounds effect from doing 12 ounce bicep curls all night.

I wear mine 4 days a week. I bought wrist and ankle weights that became uncomfortable after the first few uses. I bought a hiking backpack, dumped the weights from the back of the vest, and added the wrist and ankle weights throughout the bag. Now I have 10lbs on the front and 30lbs on my back. My cardio went from 45-60 minutes on the treadmill to now only 20-30 minutes. My heart rate without the additional weight was about 130-150, and with the vest, it was 150-165. Speed on the treadmill varies depending on how I feel that day, but I average a speed of around 2.5-4.0 and alternate inclines of 5 to 15. Best decision I have ever made.

Useful for my mob career when I don't have time to do cement shoes. In for a dozen.
