I've had the A9+ 128Gb version about a week now off a similar deal. It is shockingly good, I haven't had any stuttering or performance issues so far.

I have 64GB models. It actually really good for surfing internet, reading news and watching YouTube. It is smoother than my Fire HD 10 plus (4gb ram).

I guess it is local pick up through BB with Samsung online ordering. BB price match is a joke and never worked for me in the past...

Was looking to pick up a used ipad 7th generation or 8th generation for a summer road trip for the kids to keep busy in the car. Is this a better option for some basic kids games and watching movies while in the car ?

I've used iPads and android tablets over the years. I would say spend a little more out the door and get the iPad. They're rock solid stable for the most part, last for many years without issues, and keep their value. I bought a series 9 128gb last year for about 260 on sale.
