I have used the QC35 and those were fine, currently have MDR-1000X gen 1 and sorta want to upgrade.
Hard reset videos on YouTube did not help.
So bricked now.

lots of people are getting replacements quite easily for free here on SD and reddit. i just got my refurb earbuds replaced with the newer model
what was the reason it stopped working? and what was their response to your request?
if it a legit reason for failure and your request gets denied, try again, ask for a supervisor
