I bought a 3-pack of these and I have 2 negative concerns about them.
  1. they are just a single-point calibration, not dual or even multi-point. So they are not that accurate at the full range of temperatures and humidity levels(especially humidity).
  2. They refresh readings needlessly fast. Like every 10-15seconds. Do you really need to record temperature changes in your living room that quickly and often? I'd rather it refresh less often but has longer battery life.
I doubt you'll find a multi point thermometer/hygrometer at this price. I find these to be surprisingly accurate even at high humidity levels for example where most cheap hygrometers fail to be accurate.
Agreed with the frequency of measurement. Would be nice if you could tweak that in settings. On the other hand, I use rechargeable batteries and they last around 10 months in these things, I find that to be totally acceptable.

you will need an ESP32 with Bluetooth to connect with home assistant

FYI, I've had mine since Jan 6th, 2024 connected via BLE to home assistant and battery life is 61% and 59% on the other. So batt life is pretty good
Are you using ESPhome on the ESP32?

And did you have to use the Govee app to get these integrated with Home Assistant?

I used this to flash the esp32: https://esphome.io/projects/?type=bluetooth

I never once installed the govee app

edit: actually I think I flashed openmqttgateway to esp32

As far as I can tell, ESPhome forwards all BLE "advertisements" to HA whereas OMG only sends MQTT messages for supported devices.

Fortunately, the Govee is a supported device.

I still need to figure out the difference between active and passive BLE connections and their implications

If fora 2-pack. I have one of their humidifiers and I was impressed with it. This should pair well with it.

Bluetooth only but it can be paired with the hub which would be over wifi.

FYI: These pair with the V2 Govee water sensor Wifi hubs, so you don't need to use Bluetooth! Users who have paired them with a hub have confirmed that they can now access these hygrometers remotely!

What's the purpose in having this?
Your thermostat in your house will control temperature..... so what good is it to look at this devices and say "yup, thermostat is on 70 and this device shows 70 too"?? And if the humidity shows 60% - what are you gonna do about it? Nothing.

My thermostat only controls the heat, which I don't generally use in the summer. I'm sure my situation is very unique though.
