Va panel, same panel was going for $500 before, $100+ premium for ROG brand worth it? Maybe it's better to wait for a oled G9 $800 deal

Seems like this has a 36 month warranty as well. Most others have 1 year from what I see.

https://rog.asus.com/us/monitors/..._warranty/

"Standard Warranty period of the Product
This Warranty applies for 36 months period from the date the Product was first purchased by an end-customer ("Date of Purchase"). If proof of purchase cannot be provided, the manufacture date as recorded by ASUS will be deemed to be the start of the Warranty Period. ASUS warrants the Product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for the Warranty Period."

Thanks OP, gonna bite.

Got mine yesterday and have been tinkering with it quite a bit. I was using a Dell 32" 165 2k monitor before, one of those older popular ones 3222 something.

My dell seems faster as far as response even though both are 165hz. The biggest thing I noticed was my mouse cursor over a black background...the white shifted to yellow while moving. I turned off the OD mode and it's better, but the mouse now just gets dimmer instead of shifting yellow.

While playing games I don't notice anything bothersome at all. Cyberpunk at this resolution is crazy good. I did have to turn off RT (4080), enable DLSS (quality) and enable frame gen. The benchmark avg is 137 with a high of 167.

Diablo IV is great too, although it doesn't support the full width, still much better than my 2k 32 Dell. Being able to cast spells out farther helps.

The KVM is pretty nice too, I made the mistake of using my own USB c cable, not realizing that it didn't support video. The included cable does. After switching to that, I'm able to use the smart KVM with my work laptop and have a dual screen setup for work and my desktop on the right side of the screen. The hardware KVM works well also, but it's clunky going through the menus.

Overall at this price, I'm very happy.

How is smart KVM different than the other monitors like this in 49 inch that have built in Kvm? Can these KVM also work seamlessly with Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and mice?work laptop doesn't allow installing Logi options software..any thoughts or your experience is greatly appreciated! Thx

Not sure how other kvm monitors work, but I assume it's the same as this one if you don't use smart kvm. Meaning you have to choose which machine to give the devices to manually. This smart one is software driven and you can just move your mouse off the screen in the direction you configure. It's didn't seem to install anything, but rather run a service for my desktop and laptop to talk to each other. I had to run it manually though as it didn't auto detect my config.

Thanks that helps but does it need any asus software to be installed onto the laptop ?? As my work laptop doesn't allow any third party software no admin rights.

Probably will not help buy I use Microsoft Mouse Without Borders. Works pretty well for a free Windows solution.

I see no software installed, what happened was when I set pbp mode a virtual USB drive gets added to my desktop and laptop there's software that needs to run on both ends. Nothing is installed, but if you don't have rights to run external software, it'll just be like any other kvm where you have to manually toggle yourself through the monitor.
