edit: it seems this is a new product that just became available so i think being able to purchase it at all is what is being promoted. there may not be any other discounts available at this time.

Not a slick deal by any means.
The X3 always had stick-on lens guards with the idea being you stick them on once and never NEED to remove them unless you want to use the dive housing; many were hoping they would simply update the software to not need to remove the guards in the dive housing. Yet they went the other direction and just released an upgraded version where you permanently stick onto the X3 an outer ring and now you can twist on/off the lens guards
