I am a 40 yr old female, Hispanic decent, but very pale looking. I have been using this snail mucin for at least 6-7 yrs a few times a week. I have used it before starting my retinol journey a couple of years ago, I use the essence or the moisturizer before makeup with SPF. I recently had a lady say I don't look old enough to have a baby, let alone a teenager. I am often told I look early 30s though, I have very little wrinkling in my eye or face, no more acne or sun spots. Now, I will say retinol has definitely been a great addition to my skincare and I use it at least 4 times a week, since I skin cycle. I also use SPF daily. However, while going through a crazy stage a few years ago (and again a few months ago), my skin became a hot mess while using multiple products and the only thing that calmed it down was this snail line. It does give a glowy look to the skin, but I personally love that and when used under makeup, it just gives off a healthy skin look. I buy these as gifts to many of the women of my life. It is one of those holy grail products for me and now many of the ladies in my family.
Sold by COSRX store, which is actual store and not a random third party. Seems legit to me.

As someone who recently tried to figure it all out, I felt that.

Quick recap of my takeaways in case it helps anyone:

Prevention
1. Stay out of the sun or use full spectrum sunblock. Biggest thing you can do by far.
2. Retinoids, ideally tretinoin, are the only thing actually proven to have a significant effect.
3. Lots of other things probably help a little (moisturizing, alpha linoleic acids, oral collegen, etc.) but are either small effects or not well proven.
4. Technically, not moving your face will prevent wrinkles, but I'd rather have smile lines than not smile.

Temporary
1. Drinking water and moisturizing makes a pretty big difference
2. Didn't research as much, but as far as I know exfoliating, "brightening" serums and similar can help a little as well, but not nearly as much as you'd hope from the ads.
3. Makeup is also kind of crazy if you know how to use it, but prevention is ideal.

Thank you! With all your research what is your take on this product?

I bought a few of the snail mucin line in the last amazon sale, heard great things about them. Unfortunately it wasn't for my skin, broke out in red rashes and felt a slight burning sensation. Had to wash off.

Weirdly researched that people who are allergic to dust mites or shellfish has a higher chance of getting an allergic reaction from snail mucin products. jackpot, I'm allergic to both.

Oh no! I already ordered and I am allergic to dust mites.

How does the snail juice compare to the Korean foreskin that Kate Beckinsale uses?

Only a higher chance if you're allergic to dust mites, not guaranteed so it might work for you. Good luck!

I don't see any ingredients proven to help with prevention, but reviews are good so I imagine the temporary effects are decent.
