The government continues to print money creating inflation which in turn causes prices to rise.

it has nothing to do with inflation in US. We had 3 years of inflation and 20 of endless money printing, yet the gold bubble only started few months ago. Demand in Asia is currently driving the prices, not demand in US....

Still no clue I see. Central banks bought 1000 tons of gold last year.

The gold futures market trades 1000 tons of gold a day. You think central bank buying moved gold $400 in a couple months? 😆

Central banks helped us get past $2100 but since then it's been institutional buyers - the smart money - jumping on.

LMAO institutional buyers dont buy physical gold….. specially not Asian institutional buyers.

And Asia is the region who is driving this bubble against the normal market fundamentals

Physical gold doesn't drive the gold price, it's the futures market. Hedge funds and other institutional buyers are driving this up. Enjoy the show, it's just getting started. We already hit the first target of the cup and handle you said didn't exist. $2461.

Should get a good pullback and then off to the next Fibonacci target of $3336.

I'm glad you admit that "smart money".....your term.....only take speculative positions on Gold contracts and wouldn't be caught with physical gold. Which is what is being pandered here.

Yes, speculators bet on paper corn, paper gold, paper cocoa, etc.

Yes cup and handle doesn't exists on the 12-year window you are trying to apply it. Only youtube personalities that predict $20k gold push that narrative.

Well physical and paper gold are both outperforming the S&p500 over the last 5 years. 😂

You're running out of material but thanks for keeping up the effort. 👍

Lol no it hasn't. Smart Money realizes S&P 500 pays dividends when you hold equities. Gold does not. How much you want to bet your math lacks that "minor" detail?

Not to mention Smart Money doesn't cherry pick data points to try to make narratives. Except for recent pop driven by speculators in Asian, Gold has been losing worth in the 5 year window.

And we haven't even gotten to the taxation disadvantages of physical gold that Smart Money avoids yet…..

Probably doesn't include dividends, but then it probably also doesn't include the fees you pay to own the S&P500 in ETF or mutual fund form.

And you're wrong, gold was $1270 or something 5 years ago, so it definitely is not up just cause of the recent pop.

The more important point is that gold recently is beating the S&P500, beating crypto, beating NVDA (down 22% from its recent high), and is now catching the eye of investors - GLD has finally changed from outflows to inflows, and hedge funds are buying gold. So you're only going to get more and more frustrated as gold keeps going up.

Please keep stopping by!

Oh 100% doesn't include dividends. You are using simple math that Smart Money simply doesn't. Those S&P 500 dividends in 5-years averaged 5% annually no top of index gains.

Gold has been loosing it's real worth since July 2020 until recent pop by speculators in Asia, that are driving gold price against it's normal fundamentals. Gold's performance in real-money isn't hard to find: https://www.macrotrends.net/1333/...year-chart

Short-term moves on a commodity means nothing. If short term speculative positions is your thing......buying cocoa future would have 10x the returns of physical gold. And you wouldn't have to pay 28% tax you do on physical gold profits...

S&P500 yields 5% dividends annually? 😂 it's more like 1.5%.

Gold with a 4 year consolidation and breakout from $2100, has just started one of its long multi year bull runs, which range from 800 to 2000%. Enjoy the ride, I am. 😆
