This is not the lowest price that this guitar has been posted at, but it seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't know much about guitars but I think this green version is the same/similar model and priced the same.

Purchased one before. Experienced some tuning stability issues with this guitar. Had to constantly adjust the strings during practice sessions.
Were you using the trem? If so try lubricating the nut and replace the tree saddle with a roller.

I have a Squire Bullet, SSS, I picked up around 5+ years ago. Plays great. Sounds decent. Only problem is the tuners. Got it on a holiday sale at GC, for $100 including a setup. I could replace the tuners easily, but haven't bothered...yet.

That's the problem with Squires. Cheap parts throughout, and in 6 months you'll wish you would've spent a little more. This is okay for a beginner guitar, but if you want something that you'll enjoy for years to come spend a bit more. For example I've seen the PRS skys go on sale for around $350 now and then. Everything is quality from the wood, the hardware, and the electronics. Even the Gretsch semi hollows that go on sale from Adorama from time to time play and sound better than any squire I've ever tried. Just my 2 cents.

Oh man, if that's true then I hope the guitar I want goes on sale soon. I'm not gonna pay MSRP 😩

the high end is what's collapsing. the quality gap is quickly closing, and companies like Gibson are still raising their prices like crazy. Good quality budget guitars will ALWAYS have a market, especially with REVERB

Have you tried any of the Classic Vibes? I've picked up a couple of the various Tele models and love them. The only real issue out of the box was a couple of high frets but a light tap took care of those.
