I bought 2 of these when it was a little more than this recently. Haven't tried them yet but they seem heavy duty and solid. For less than $20 why not

That is not a variable dial.
It has off, prime, and ignite settings.

You turn it from the off position to the prime setting to get the gas flowing, then turn it to the "burn" setting to light and operate.

It only has one temp.
