So, who do you recommend buying from? All these sites are autoparts...
Just now I went to www.google.com, searched parts.toyota, and found many options. I suggest repeating that process and selecting a dealership of your choice.

Pro Tip: not all dealers will ship some parts. Ordered parts in Houston, and got a great deal and shipped for free. But I had to change dealers because the closest available dealer had my parts as pick-up only. Changing my dealer to one further away (Fred Haas) saved me a trip for the same total.

I didn't fiddle with it a lot, but that meant starting the search process over for me and finding the parts again.

So if you find in checkout that the parts are pick-up only, copy your part numbers down, and try the search again with a different dealer.

Slickdeals Rocks again!

Usually you'll need to enter the exact part number for fluids. If you search for fluids by name *and* you've already entered your specific vehicle information, fluids won't show up.

Super long life coolant: 00272-SLLC2

You can search online for part numbers to the specific oil and trans. fluid you need. The discount will show up once you begin checkout.

FYI, the 25% is taken off after the dealership's own discount. At some dealerships, this drops the retail price as much as 48%. Great deal.
I've searched over a dozen dealers in the GA/AL area trying to find a price significantly better than the 25 to 30% off MSRP.

Full retail of each spark plug being $18.99, here's a small list of dealers and their discounted prices:
Stonecrest $13.67 (29% off)

Atlanta $15.19 (21% off)

Hendrick
Sandy Springs $13.67

Lagrange $14.24 (26% off)

Lowe $16.14 (16% off)

Milton
Ruben $18.99 (0% off)

Decatur $13.10 (32% off)

Items are in the cart and no further discount is applied. My question to you is how can I find the roughly 48% discounts you mention?

I think the reason you are not seeing larger discounts is the extra 25% off deal expired on April 19, 2024.

I have no problem finding cheaper NGK or Denso (OEM) plugs for my Corolla. German made Bosch double iridium plugs (4 for <$30) are perfectly functional in Toyotas. I put them in Camrys and Corollas. These are nickel-plated...do not apply anti-seize compound.

Coolant is dirt cheap, so no reason to wait 100K miles before replacement. The coolant will become conductive over time. Drain/bleed/refill every 50K with Peak (often on sale for less than $5/gal).

Stick with OEM when you replace the ignition coil or mass air flow sensor. The valve cover gasket will leak oil around 150K. Replace it to keep the ignition coils dry. Clean mass air flow sensor every 50K miles.

As someone already answered, the extra 25% off was a special promo that ran from April 15th to 19th. Toyota dealerships, at least in the Southeast, occasionally run these extra discounts. I almost missed this last one.

If you catch the next one, here's how the math works out. Say you want a part that retails for $100. Some dealerships, like that Decatur one you found, regularly offer a 31% discount. (These discounts are dealership specific.) So the price drops to $69. The extra 25% off promo is then applied to the $69, bringing it down to $51.75. Hence, about 48% off retail.

I've always used NGK plugs on my japanese vehicles, but from fellow owners' experiences on the Lexus forum the LS cars seem to thrive on the Densos that are OE. So I may as well place another order on rockauto, even though I hate being hit with their high shipping costs in addition to the out-of-state sales tax scheme.

Thanks for your other mechanical advice also! (I knew about the "no anti-seize on NGKs".)

World Toyota's price seems to be the same today as it was on Friday, so maybe the deal expired at the close of business eastern time on the 19th and I just missed it.

Does anyone know how often a deal like this gets repeated?

Assuming this deal was in addition to my dealer's current discount (is that a reasonable assumption?), part 16670-21010 drops to $79.00, while the "regular price" I paid for it in 2021 was $88.03.

Since the OEM part purchased directly from dealership is failing pretty regularly, it makes the $35.99 Amazon knockoff a lot more tempting than waiting to miss out preordering my next one. YMMV, of course - this part is not failing functionally, it only sets a code because the sensor can't determine that it hasn't failed.

Quote from SlickestRick :
I haven't been very pleased with the service I received from Serra Toyota of Decatur… I ordered a new grill back in September of last year when they had a similar sale.

Originally, they said the part would ship by end of December. They had confirmed twice the parts were in stock and once had even "confirmed" parts would ship by mid-December.

Now the part is on back order through this month? I suspect they realized they were losing money with free shipping and will continue to push out delivery. They've offered multiple times to cancel my order, but I want the parts I've paid for…
Same situation here. I order a grill from Decatur during their Black Friday sale and Eric stated that the grill would come in December, then January, then April. He finally stated that a major supplier had issues with the mold and wouldn't come into stock until 2025. Cancel my order. Sucks and I have not idea if this is true or not. I have order other items with them and they do come in a reasonable of time, if it's in stock.
