I've been looking at luggage recently, mostly for flights. Because of the 40 and 50lb restrictions many airlines put on luggage, some of the bigger bags become an issue because you either A) overfill them since there IS space or B) underfill them to stay under the weight limit.

So you either pay more for being over the weight limit, or your stuff is tossing and turning inside your suitcase since nothing is really secure.

For me, 28" is too big of a bag to stay under the 40 and 50 lb limits yet still hold things secure. This is a relatively large bag. If you are flying and like to stuff your suitcases, you might want to look at a 24 or 26" suitcase, or else you're probably going over the weight limits.

I started buying uniquely colored luggage because they're easier to spot.

Completely Agree 100%. Just bought TravelPro cloth 25" one for these reasons.

Polycarbonate is better. You'll see ABS, polypropylene, etc., but polycarbonate is the best.

Depends on the size though, larger ones you check in (like this) should definitely be polycarbonate.
