Plus I had concerns about learning windows 11 when I did not want to.
I ended up getting a dell refurbished for under $200. 16GB. old CPU but not slow. Grade A. Win 10pro with free upgrade to 11 when I have to.
I am very happy with it. It's 13.3 inch. I would have preferred a 14-15.6 but did not want to spend a lot more.

It's your business to decide how much info you find acceptable. But if you honestly think it's fine to be fooled when you click on deals with the price in the title only to find out you have to add shipping to that which is baked into the price, especially if it is flat rate, your expectations for knowing the price before clicking in are too low. I can keep explaining this to you but I cannot change your mind. You do you and stay semi-slick if you insist.
It may be available for a lower price in stores, but that is not the post title or the main idea of the post. Typically it would not cost the shipping and that would be the lower price, but you never know until you call or stop in. It had nothing to do with my complaint.
Unless there is a DIMM socket on the underside of the motherboard then the memory is not upgradable.
Terrible design decisions to save a few bucks
Bought one - will check it tonight after work. Didn't realize this doesn't have any USB-C so may go back regardless.

I have 8 right now and it is not enough. And this unit actually in all other respects is a decent computer for the regular non-gamer person to do their daily stuff but 8 is not enough any longer in the world.
