Price is after $1.34 applied coupon. This is a great pliers in my opinion, especially for the price. I prefer it's button and profile over Knipex, though I'm sure a lot of you would disagree with that.

Be aware the metal on these are relatively soft. They are great for light duty work, but do not hold up for any heavy clamping situation without suffering damage.

I got this in the 8 and 10 inch combo two or three years ago and used the larger 10 inch to take off a rounded fastener last week. The teeth got worn pretty bad (attached pix). I don't use the large one that often so the wear is from less than maybe 10 times of usage... just one really stubborn fastener I had to clamp hard on.

That said the 8 inch is really convenient to have around the house though due to it's size. I've used it a lot for many small misc grip tasks.

Another thing to watch out for is that the handles have a tendency to slip off. But a couple drops of super glue inside the handle take care of that.

If you want to draw the ire of all the "tool pros" here, any favorable comparison to Knipex is sure-fire blasphemy!

These pliers should never sully the interior of any $250 rolling plastic toolbox!

Knipex or no go if you're a pro. Every brand of pliers can have sharp teeth, but none of them last nearly as long. Finally went through a pair of my own Knipex pliers after putting it through hell and back. The other brands didn't last easier jobs.

Knipex cost three times as much, but last ten times as long. For those who use their tools a lot, it's well worth the expense (as are the $250 plastic rolling toolboxes).

I'm a DIYer and have been contented with buying these cheapos, especially Kobalt lol

But when I tried Knipex, Wiha, and Wera.. there's no going back! Spend more and grab the real one. Knipex Cobra is worth it, and you could pass it on to your grandchildren! 🤣

Or if you have Knipex, you could still buy these Irwin pliers and lend them to your neighbor/friends who constantly borrow your stuff 😉

I have the 8" Lenox same as Irwin but with better grip/made in Taiwan. Lowe's clearance 2 ago years ~$9. Works well for duties around the house havent needed a bigger size. Knipex/Klein 7 inch are somewhat smaller you kinda need the 10 inch also. With Lenox & Irwin 8 inch is pretty much all you need for household duties. I'd even go with HFT Doyle 8 inch when its on sale due to easy warrant exchanges.
