Someone said it's 13 hours. Also MacBook doesn't have touch screen. Nor this much storage or ram. To find a MacBook Pro with similar specs and 14" would easily be close to double the price

Ram is soldered, so not upgradable.
The ssd can be upgraded.
I ordered the laptop 2 months ago for $1125 and upgraded the ssd to 4tb after receiving it and was pretty easy to do. Overall I've been pretty happy with it but can't comment much on performance. I think I had some driver issues playing Dave the diver, but Belatro works great on it. I haven't done much tinkering with it. Battery life is solid and can last a day with varied usage.

How many devices with LPDDR5X memory are "upgradeable"?

I'm pretty sure I've seen models that have soldered ram + a ram socket.

Shouldn't have said anything. It would be hilarious watching people search for LPDDR5X upgrade kits. 🤣

Dude said LPDDR5X. Yes there is soldered DDR4 RAM and also a free or upgradable RAM slot on some laptops. I've never seen that with LPDDR5X. Can you tell us which laptop has that.

I never said LPDDR5X ram is upgradable. I said some laptops with soldered ram have a free ram socket, like last years zephyrus g14 for instance. Relax.

I've read these have problems with the screen being scratched by the keyboard when the laptop is closed. The screen makes direct contact with the keys when closed and eventually causes it to get all scratched up - anyone here can confirm?

There are 4 rubber pads around the keyboard to keep the screen from rubbing against the screen when it's closed. You can zoom in on the pictures from the HP site to see them. I have only had it for 2 months but I haven't had any issues with scratching yet.

Good to know - this seems like a solid laptop from the reviews and a good deal.

I've had an HP Spectre for about 4 years now. The screen does touch the keys, but it doesn't get scratched. Seems to be marks left by the oil/skin from hands on the keys. Just use a microfiber cloth to clean the screen and you'll be fine.
