I bought this cable before. Lasted about a month until the display started showing 0w but still charged, about 2 weeks afterwards, it stopped charging entirely. Extremely sensitive cable ends

From reviews: "I acquired this cable because I wanted to see how much wattage devices were actually drawing from a charger (to test if the charger could hit a rated charging wattage).

From my testing, this charger should be able to charge up to 100W under the power delivery specification. So it fits my use case very well.

However, I took off 1 star for the accuracy of the wattage display. The display is slightly inaccurate. From my testing it seems that the wattage display is off by up to 9%. So the cable shows 9% higher wattage then what is being pulled from the wall. I did not expect it to be 100% accurate, but I was hoping for under 3% in terms of derivation from the actual wattage."

USB C:
100W Charging and 480Mbps Data Transfer Speeds
lightning:
60W Charging and 480Mbps Data Transfer Speeds

Right in the item title, weird to crop the specs to force clicks.

not cool!!! Don't make usb c cables that run at usb speeds!!!
No reason a charging cable needs to support USB 3.0 or USB4 speeds. Cable roulette can be annoying but the charging rate display should make this pretty obvious as a charging cable.

It's regressive and substandard. They are cutting corners and many people who buy them don't know, they use them and it limits their speed to 2000 standards.

If they labeled them I wouldn't get as annoyed by it but they don't so i see them in the field and they suck.

These are $2 or $3 on AliExpress. I have a few from there, work great.

Thanks! And it's cheaper! I don't really consider a buck and a half off to be a "Slick Deal" and neither should anyone else.

I don't follow. It's a USB cable. It's not going to run at HDMI speeds....because it's a USB cable so what am I missing? Happy to learn something new.

I am with Scmide. I use a USB C cable to transfer large files from my phone and drone to PC. Almost all of my cables are USB 2.0 speed except one nice monoprice one that does 100W PD and full USB 3.2 speeds. When I travel I can take that one cable for everything.

I don't agree with his sentiment either but what he is trying to say is USB-C is capable of much faster speed and gimping it to run at 480 Mbps is regressing to USB-2.0 standard.

What he fails to understand is while this charging cable might have the improved wirings to handle higher wattage, increasing speed would require them to populate all the data lines implement the higher USB communication standard, that would be much more expensive than what these are currently priced at.

Right. You get what you pay for. I'd get it as a test cable to check what things are running at to then get it the right cable or something like that
