Where's the dude who was adamant in a thread a couple weeks ago that gold would be back down to below $2000 by now based on his reading of the charts and knowledge of years of gold-buying experience?
Right? He was so sure!

If you have to buy a gold Buffalo right now, Costco is the place to purchase it from. However, this price is too high for me. I'll start looking again when it goes below $2200.
So youll start looking NEVER. National debt is out of control and currency debasement is the name of the game going forward. Gold is probably better investment than bonds and safer than stocks.

Arribasn was referring to a Costco membership. Groupon has a decent deal 60$ membership with 40$ shop card back.

Note recent article in the Wall Street journal about people going to sell these things they buy at Costco and have a problem making any money on it because the market for buying it is not as bright as the market for selling it. Don't expect to make a quick turnaround profit on these.

I got 150k chase UR points meeting minimum spend with gold purchases, in addition to 2% back for costco executive.. I turn around and sell on reddit.com/r/pmsforsale .. You can easily get more than your money back with profit, you just have to be creative, even if you don't hold them for a precious metal gain.

Most folks who buy gold plan on keeping it for a very long time (5 - 10+ years) or use it as a hedge against inflation. Those who buy physical gold as a means to day trade (or who don't have the financial means to keep it long term) are the ones who are at risk of losing their pants.
