Thank you OP; just in time for the spring time...these are perfect to grow those plants that do not have deep roots such as peppers and other leafy vegetables...here is a complete list for anyone interested.

I have these. Bury 3/4 into the ground and use them to grow water lilies; added goldfish to eat mosquitoes. Broken terracotta pots for them to hide when raccoons and herons harass them. At this price, I'm adding a couple more ponds for an expanding water lily collection.

"Indoor lemon tree" is simply a marketing gimmick to sell lemon trees to people who don't know any better. You need a huge amount of light from large windows to successfully grow a lemon tree indoors. They are outdoor full sun plants.

Clicking the link here gives me a non-stop 500 internal server error, from slickdeals.

Going straight to the HD site and searching for these yields ONE at that price....NOT two.
Add 2 to cart...then see the price.

I bought 2 of these planters last week and used L brackets to attach an 8 foot 4x4 posts to the bottom of the barrel. Then I filled them up with 80lbs of landscape rock and then soil on top for some herbs. The planters held up nicely so far (I had to drill 4 more holes in the bottom for drainage) and look nice.
Do you by any chance have a picture?

link works just fine for me. HD site says "buy 2 or more, get 50% off. So, yes, technically one is $16.50. But two is also $16.50.

Ask this old house did something like that to hold a shade sail. But what's the L bracket for?

Saw these in store yesterday - they're nice planters albeit they look a little cheap. You'll want to add drainage holes in the bottom as well.

Been looking for something of this size to cement 4x 4x4 posts into to hang some solar lights but we're going to go with actual wine / whiskey barrels.
This is exactly what we were planning to do with solar lights. Would you mind sharing where you got your whiskey/wine barrels?

(not sure why SD didn't quote the original post in my reply? Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) )

I use mine for tomatoes...they are a great size for that...with some added basil and marigolds.
Throw some cilantro in there with a tomato plant, too. The cilantro will make the tomatoes taste better, and if you live in a hot climate, the tomato plant will help shade the cilantro, to keep it from bolting so quickly.

You really don't need such a big pot for garlic and shallots. Also you plant garlic in the fall and I don't know how well they would grow if you live in a very cold climate.
