Hate to be that guy….buuut I bought some tumblers from Walmart for $8. They work just as well and my yeti lids fit on them. Hard to go back to yeti after this experiment.

But we live in a material world, where everything should show our status, even our water bottles... rolling eyes.

Genuine curiosity… do those Walmart alternatives go in the dishwasher?

It's a double wall vacuum sealed Thermos. I'd advise against putting it in a dish washer.

This article says it's dishwasher safe on top rack. Also, they tested the Ozarks from Walmart and determined it does perform the same as Yeti. I have the Ozark one and love it.

I've put my Yetis in the dishwasher hundreds of times and not seen any issues or performance changes. And the warranty does cover seal failure. I guess that's where the extra money goes.

Thank you!!! Ordered 7 for gifts. I use yetis almost exclusively now. Other brands seem to chip easily, with the ozark one being the exception. And in the dishwasher they go numerous times with no issues.

I know it's cool to ride people about buying these but we've tried 5 different alternatives and every single one falls apart after some time. Yeti's are the only ones that last.

I have had steam spots show up on my black Yetis from my dishwasher that's a Bosch; top rack. I also have had the magna slide lids become cloudy from clear so I no longer use the dishwasher; could be my dishwasher.

I've tried Yeti and few others that were substantially similar.

Rtic is every bit as good in quality, and they are a far better value. Also better volume and colors. 8 years in and the enameled color isn't even chipped. We do handwash.

I have the 16oz brew rambler, when I have a 16oz brew, even a 1/2 hour after opening it, it's still ice cold, love these things..

I kind of want the 12oz but, the regular price is $25 and it's only $20, If it was like $15, I would be all over it...

It's amazing what people will spend just to have a brand name on their water bottle that impresses the boaters out at the lake this summer.

I've had multiple rtic tumblers chip and flake off. The finish is their weak point. Then the soft coolers from rtic are build with these teeny tiny zippers that fails due to frequent use. Yetis use the large heavy duty zippers that'll last way beyond rtic. We boat and put these items to the test year after year in the harsh environment. If you're gonna go cheap, get the ozark, they're pretty good.
