Hate to be that guy….buuut I bought some tumblers from Walmart for $8. They work just as well and my yeti lids fit on them. Hard to go back to yeti after this experiment.
This article says it's dishwasher safe on top rack. Also, they tested the Ozarks from Walmart and determined it does perform the same as Yeti. I have the Ozark one and love it.

I've put my Yetis in the dishwasher hundreds of times and not seen any issues or performance changes. And the warranty does cover seal failure. I guess that's where the extra money goes.

I've had multiple rtic tumblers chip and flake off. The finish is their weak point. Then the soft coolers from rtic are build with these teeny tiny zippers that fails due to frequent use. Yetis use the large heavy duty zippers that'll last way beyond rtic. We boat and put these items to the test year after year in the harsh environment. If you're gonna go cheap, get the ozark, they're pretty good.
I don't know about their coolers. I got my rotomolded coolers in 26L and 52L for under $100 for both from Home Depot deals, and they work great keeping ice for days. The other $500+ saved will be worth thousands of dollars in my retirement and let me stop working 2 months earlier if I want or need to.

RTIC tumblers are every bit as good. You could of course just buy them in bare metal if you tend to be rough on the coatings. Don't know when you tried them, but the current enamelled finish is very good. I've literally got dents in my water bottle and that didn't even chip.

I like the lids on the RTIC water bottles better too. Flip open, good carry loop, and they don't leak even when thrown on the floorboard of a sports car taking turns.

Made in China like all the others, but with a huge markup to fool people into thinking they are getting superior quality.

After dropping my mug several times on asphalt and concrete from considerable height and noticing barely any scuff marks, I am sold on Yetis. Pay more, last longer and that's fine with me.

I bought a Yeti with the Mag lid a few years ago. It's pretty good. However recently I used my Miir water bottle (a company gift) and I was impressed with how much better it did at keeping my coffee hot for a few hours. Normally with the Yeti I am drinking warm, not hot, coffee. The difference was noticeable. I don't know if it was the difference in lid (the miir looks more like the chug cap instead of thin plastic), but thought I'd throw that out there. I'm not sure about the Yeti anymore.

I wish people would take a hard look at their lives and judge whether everything they purchase is the cheapest, most practical option before they show up in these threads.

There's A LOT of people living in glass houses and throwing stones 🙄.

It's amazing what people will spend just to have a brand name on their water bottle that impresses the boaters out at the lake this summer.
While I don't own anything from YETI, at times I'm willing to overpay for something that looks nice/fancy/brand name as long as it's going to last a very long time, or the manufacturer has a reputation for sending you a new replacement item when it doesn't.

I'm more inclined to go for value if it's an item that is going to be replaced with some frequency.

The Yeti tumblers feel nice, but they don't insulate well at all, and the O ring started to disintegrate into nasty black dust. Better options out there.

I normally use a 46oz Yeti as my daily driver. It's great. I took that extremely popular tumbler around for a week and it's ok. Nothing special. I feel like I drink more water using it, but the ice melts a little faster.
I do also own the $15 ozark trail. It's really nice as well. The lid is kinda trash but it is otherwise fine.

Try Marshall's or HomeGoods if you're near one. I got my 46oz Yeti bottle for $35. I also see a lot of Hydroflask stuff there as well.
