More like the normal or cheaper versions of each brand like, scandisk, Samsung and PNY… aren't mean to. However those same brands make high endurance ones or "elite" ones that are meant to do exactly that. Continuously read and write at high speeds. The same kind you would put into say a home security camera.
It doesn't have the same type of warranty
it is not refurbished by Valve
I saw it pop in and out of stock yesterday. But when checking out, it wouldn't let me go all the way through and purchase

Mine was shipped via UPS. Is it really that obvious what is in the package? If so, that is a MAJOR failure on Valve's part.
