It's a $699 laptop, marked down. At that price point I'd still like to see higher than 70%.
Cmon now. No one, and I mean no one, has ever paid 699 for this.

Is this a microcenter specific model?

Just bought the laptop. Yes, it does charge over the usb-c port, as you would expect for thunderbolt. Not too much bloat on the windows install. Just mcafee and myasus (if you count myasus as bloat). Connected to my triple monitor setup via docking stations seamlessly. Speakers sound pretty decent. Can't comment on hinge quality cause don't know how to assess that.
Cons
1. Heavy – Especially compared to my dell Inspiron 13 5310 (I know that's a slightly smaller laptop but still the weight difference is massive)
2. Only 1 thunderbolt 4 port
3. Touchscreen not the greatest imo. I was trying to read a manga by swiping using the touchscreen and so many missed swipes. Unusable for swiping to read manga like an iPad (let me know if there is a fix for this)

Overall, very few laptops at this price point come with thunderbolt, which I need to connect to my monitors. So even though I am dis-appointed with the touchscreen, I plan to keep it.

I think so, Best Buy doesn't carry this model, so no price match.

Windows S mode...kill the deal for me.
What if MS allowed you to switch out of S and into Windows 11 Home for free and it took less than 30 seconds?

How is the screen quality, and is there any issue with fan noise?

I just bought one this weekend. There is some noticeable ight bleed at the corners, I would say the screen quality is just okay. Not the worst ive seen. Fan noise has been minimal so far.

The only other thing that might rival this in term of ports and connectivity is the dell 5420 refurbished for about $250 to $300.

I purchased one for a new employee at my place of business. I dropped a 16gb stick in it for a total of 20gb. So yeah, 12gb or 20gb is fairly simple.
Specs on the laptop say max memory supported is 12GB. Does 20 GB work well? What memory stick did you end up going with? Thank you.

They have a 15 day return policy on laptops, full refund even if you open and use the laptop. You just need to make sure you return it in its original packaging. I've done this for a couple of open laptops now without any problems

The listing says it's 3.3 pounds. Is that inaccurate?
