Works with any digital pedal I believe, it's a 1/4 phono from my recollection. We too bought the kit from Costco. The keys are weighted and has escapement action that simulates the feeling of keys landing as if it's an acoustic piano.

Had one. If you have a pair of monitor speakers plug them in, sound quality is much much better, getting closer to the level of acoustic. Love mine but I recently sold it to upgrade to a baby grand

Picked one up after some research. The lack of a record/play function on the piano itself killed it for me at full price, but at $444 I can find a workaround. It seems overly negative to me but the fact is, the feel and sound outweigh everything else. Cheapest mint on Reverb is $510, new is 599; looks like it may have released at 499 but 599 is normal now. Early reviews complained of lack of Android version of piano partner 2, but that seems to have changed (albeit at 1.9* rating), and with the app it does bluetooth audio/midi. Actually considering canceling for Alesis Prestige Artist or a Donner...

Pros: Best keyfeel value (same as the more expensive FP-30x graded hammer action), bluetooth wireless midi?, discount, usb-B midi (hopefully compliant?)

Cons: No line out or line in, weak speakers, one weak headphone out, no midi 5pin in/out, no 3 pedal support, no recording/playback, limited polyphony (96???), included pedal is cheap

Upgrade pedal ($55 and half damper capable): https://www.adorama.com/rodp10.html?emailPrice=t

Just got this deal recently. Great piano for a beginner that wants weighted keys and a solid sound. Plus I was in a predicament where I needed a piano that would fit under 51" wide and Roland is pretty much the only brand doing it
More like an aspiring enthusiast.Beginner won't know this stuff and probably stop playing after a month.Spend less of you are a beginner.

Just picked one up locally secondhand in mint condition for the same price. It's a great keyboard for beginners -> intermediate players that want something that is not a cheap-o setup. Problem a lot of aspiring musicians have is they start on junk equipment which makes it hard / frustrating to learn and they give up. IMHO this one is well built, plays and sounds good enough to keep you motivated.

I too bought this yesterday. Was looking at the FP-30X too, its features seem very nice, but for ~$300 more after import taxes, just doesn't seem worth it. The FP-30X bundle was on sale for $569 last December, but I don't know when that would happen again. Also, it has features that are not needed, 3 pedals, which no one uses the other 2 anyway. Recording through a MIDI is fine for me.

Also seems a lot of people have clicking or key issues after a while on all PHA-4 Roland models, so it makes sense to not spend too much.
