I hope this gets a lots of likes. The company is trying to end exploitation of slave labor in the chocolate industry.

I'm all for good company practices, but isn't this a bit high per ounce?

The last Tony's deal was around 35 cents an ounce. This is more than double that at 87 cents.

Yeah I think the single bar is a more fair price per ounce.

I don't buy chocolate very often, maybe a couple times a year so I don't mind overpaying since it won't add up to much.

Without bothering to do any research, the poster probably means 'paying the going rate for manual labor in the location in which the product is manufactured.' The poster likely believes the workers should be paid more, and this company perhaps pays a higher-than-average wage for the same work in that locality, passing the extra costs on to you, the consumer. This makes the poster feel good, but can make a slickdealer feel bad.

Over half the worlds chocolate is made with slaves, most children. Sorry I just learned about this last week don't know much about it but if you search anything like "nestle uses slaves" or "chocolate industry slaves" it turns out it's common practice. Their excuse is they don't use it. But factories they purchase from use it and they can't control that.
This company tries their best to trace all the people used and eliminate slave labor. If find any slavery in the companies they use they report themselves and try to eliminate it.
I was so sad when I read about it and then started searching videos on YouTube.

I'm not the poster, I want everyone to be happy no matter what chocolate they eat, idc as long as they're enjoying theirselves. I was just mentioning a fact.

And to be clear it's actual slaves, children taken from their parents. I didn't think slavery still existed but it does and There are many documents and documentaries about it.

Nestle admits to it also and just says it's not within their control.

I feel good, I hope you feel good, and all Slickdealers feel good, no reason to make anyone feel bad.
