As someone who has been playing AC games since the first one I found this game to not be very fun at all. I played, maybe 10ish hours and uninstalled it about a week ago.

I really wanna check it out as I like the old formula. I just heard it was incredibly short and the plot wasn't all that great.

If you like the old formula, especially if you prefer the stealthy approach, I think you'll enjoy the game at this price point - stealth is definitely the most fun I had with the game especially being able to upgrade your different tools and seeing the notoriety system back. I do agree the plot wasn't all that great, I thought the character you play as is decent but the others are underwhelming or forgettable, Shohreh Aghdashloo was really underused imo - though at least from memory the game wasn't THAT short, took me around 25-ish hours completing everything I wanted to (so I think at this price point it's worth checking out)

Played an hour of the PC trial last night. Seems more in line with the old versions than the new. Had fun. Will probably also wait for a $10-15 sale.

Agreed. It was the shortest and least interesting story / gameplay of all the games.
