Dollar Tree is $1.25 for a 5 pack, so $0.25 each. This comes out to $0.247083 each. So it's a decent deal if you want that many at once, delivered to your door and/or you don't have a Dollar Tree nearby. Also and/or if you believe the DT version is lower quality. I double-checked to make sure it was 3 oz.

Of course my idea of a slickdeal is a $100 light fixture for $0.25.

Amazon's regular price is the same as Sam's, which is more expensive than Dollar Tree.

We use these mostly without the flavor pack. Cook as directed. Add a slick of American cheese and a splash of milk for kiddo "stringy mac and cheese". Usually add some frozen veggies halfway through the noodle cook.

We mainly use these in addition to the more expensive ($1-3 each instead of a quarter EEK!) ramen from the semi-local Asian store. I prefer the ramen drained instead of as a broth, and the seasoning packets are usually way too salty, so I make the fancy one along with one brick of this (honestly some of them could probably season 2.5 bricks but not 3...). Mi goreng is meant to be drained, so I usually only do 1 extra block per 4-5, depending on how many leftovers I want.

I wish the Asian store closest to us hadn't shut down though. The others are too far away to regularly get bok choy and daikon and a variety of mushrooms fresh to add. And the local grocery store only has Huge Bok Choy that's about 5x more than we'd need and any mushrooms other than white/portabello (if they even have any) come out to about $20/lb.

Go for Maruchan, way better than Top Ramen. @ Walmart 30 cents a pack atm. Different varieties.

I would agree with that normally, but if you look at the nutrition info and ingredients, he has a point, except it is digestible. Digestible, but not health food.

It's high in calories (380 per pack), it's ultra-processed, high in sodium and saturated fat. Sure, you can throw away the flavor packet, but then it's just cheap noodles. Just look at the ingredients, a lot of chemicals, allergen warnings, and GMO's to boot.

Ingredients: Enriched flour, palm oil, salt...contains less than 2% of autolyzed yeast extract, citric acid, disodium guanylate, disodium inosinate, disodium succinate, dried leek flake, egg white, garlic powder, hydrolyzed corn protein, hydrolyzed soy protein, lactose, maltodextrin, natural and artificial flavor, onion powder, potassium carbonate, potassium chloride, powdered chicken, rendered chicken fat, silicon dioxide, sodium alginate, sodium carbonate, sodium tripolyphosphate, soybean, spice and color, succinic acid, sugar, tbhq (preservative), wheat.

Contains wheat, soybean, egg, and milk.

Manufactured in a facility that also processes peanut, tree nuts, sesame, crustacean shellfish, and fish products.

Contains bioengineered food ingredients.
