Google AI says: "Yes, lenders can consider immigration status when underwriting loans, and visa holders may be considered more risky than citizens. This is because immigration status can correlate with national origin, which is protected under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA). Lenders can consider immigration status to assess their rights or remedies to recover funds, or if otherwise required to comply with other laws. For example, if a visa expires and the borrower must leave the country, the lender would be unable to recover the balance due on a loan."

I chose to do a 1 pay lease and just pay everything at signing. I also had offers for roughly the same total price with $0 down $254 per month, $1k down $207 per month, and $2k down $161 per month. Admittedly those are slightly better than the $6k upfront but they didn't come with the extra $2k in options which I chose to use on lease end protection and tire/wheel protection

Tesla also lies about their range. People are eating it up. Tesla cars' range drain on their own when the car isn't even moving. It's a glitchy pile of junk software to get the tech bros excited, horrible car.
Everybody lies about range. Nobody should be surprised. ICE cars have been doing it forever! estimated mileage is almost always under very specific conditions. Nothing new.

You said you were able to replicate this deal from OP in Texas, can you please share the details of the dealership?

Let me guess. You've never owned a Tesla?
I owned a Tesla for 3 years... Great battery and chassis and drove well, but that interior and build quality overall was terrible.
Literally, a Corolla or Civic is built better and the interior is more useful.
Tesla definitetly had more space for the save sized car.

agree . some what.

benefit depends on use case.

for example not everyone can afford a house and has to rent.
kids in college , have to rent once they go off campus.

back to ev.

i was like u as well. no point in leasing. buy.
until i got my first ev (89 mile range leaf...lol).

at the time, my primary vehicle was a ford escape ( i know, stop laughing).
it died after ~80k miles. needed new tranny.

so was able to secure a nice deal on the leaf.
v little down, (i think it was total less than $1k all inclusive).
and then 99 per month.

at the time i was putting in twice the amount in gas.
work (both spouse & I) had free charging.

so was no brainer.
get the leaf.
try out this "new " tech.
and save money over gas .
decide in 3years what to do. for long term.
What happens during the hurricane, when sometimes you're out of electricity for a week? How do you charge that "bucket" at that point? That's the only thing that sways me away from EV. I'd rather they make better hybrids, drive on battery, but if needed/in emergency add some fuel and off you go...

2022 model 3 my friend showed me was not bad inside, I wouldn't call it corolla..nothing spectacular, true, but not the civic class Smilie

My Prius is close to estimates. It is rated at 50 MPG combined highway and city driving and over the last 7 years I've averaged 49. That's not driving it slowly or trying to hypermile.

I also have an SUV that's rated at 20 MPG combined. Over the past 4 years I've averaged 21.3 MPG. Most miles have come from city driving too, where it's rated at 19 MPG.

In california. I am. What is a hurricane. But all joking aside I have never once experienced a time when I couldn't charge my "bucket "as you said in the last 10 years or so of owning a electrical vehicle. And I think that the majority of people probably have a ice vehicle as a backup.
As in a two vehicle family one being electric the other being the traditional.

Ultimately I think that the ideal state owning an electrical vehicle is in california. All the other states are still catching up. Maybe some States in the East Coast are almost there. My brother-in-law in New York had a volt. As you said combination of the two. But this was a few years ago as well

I wouldn't call California state ideal. If all vehicles would be replaced now with EVs in California your grid would collapse within 5 minutes and would be lights out for all..

Schomp Hyundai in Aurora, Colorado. March 30th - I think they had some extra incentives from Hyundai that may have expired at month end. $400 rebate was from a recent college graduate incentive we qualified for.
This is $1000 extra than what my friend got SEL trim. My friend got it for $5000 and i know none of the dealer mentioned in the wiki can match the $5000.

All this chatter and I have not seen a single person post a quote or paperwork where they replicated this deal. Kudos to those who actually did this but for the rest of us, it's just a haggling exercise with the salespeople at the dealership.

Can someone in CO please post photo of quote or breakdown on final out the door cost that came from the dealership? I'm looking for a document that I have give to the dealership and ask them to replicate it.
