S23+ will get one(?) more year of updates I think. But seeing as it is a back up and you may not touch it, I would get the S22+. People poo poo on the S22+ battery life but again, its a back up. I am getting the S22+ for $200 for my work phone.

That's a lot of hoops to jump through. I just tried turning off ad block and using incognito to no success unfortunately. My phone has been paid off so I shouldn't run into any issues once I login, but it doesn't seem like I will be able to.

So...I'm unclear with the unlock discussions below. Am I stuck in an effective 3 year contract if I do this? i.e. - if I leave Verizon in a year, I'll have to repay the difference left on the $1,049 price of the phone?

If i recall over the history companies end up getting sued for pulling tricks like this. Probably at a very small loss vs profit. But so far samsung users don't care samsungs been baiting them with the same garbage for 5+ years. I think at&t probably already had some cases an if so it's obvious they make way more scamming people then giving everyone $4 back if someone can afford to sue em.
